Facial Rejuvenation With Laser

New generation CO2 lasers with their special structures, can be applied safely on face, neck, and on hands, as it is also one of the referenced methods in the esthetics of the genital region. Fractional CO2 lasers open thin channels in the skin, collagens are targeted with these columns which are not seen from the outside as they’re microscopic. Thermal damage is given to the structures in the skin, such as water-containing keratinocytes and veins.

The living cells from the undamaged area next to the damaged structure are transferred here, providing a rapid repair and an increase in collagen production in the skin. With CO2 lasers, the lower surface of the skin is interfered without ever touching the upper surface, whereby the top surface is not damaged at all. The patient recovers quickly, and does not have to compromise from normal life. It is one of the methods applied not only to the wrinkles; also for trace, crack formation and moles on the skin.

After the laser treatment, a shortening of 30% the collagen fibers in the subcutaneous tissue of the skin is seen. Between 1-3 months, by increasing the formation of collagen in the skin, and regeneration of the lower connective tissue after the procedure, the effects of rejuvenation on the skin will begin to be seen. Your skin will begin to take form of two or five years before, while traces and moles on your skin are removed.

The pain and burning you feel during the application, will be tried to be avoided with local analgesic creams. The proportion of traces and wrinkles in your face will affect the number of sessions to be performed to see the desired effect; while mild and moderate wrinkles may improve to two or three sessions, improvement in deep wrinkles may occur in 3 to 5 sessions, applied between one and a half months.

After the laser application, you should be protected from sun for about a month, and not use solarium. Even if edema and rash occur in the first days of intervention, you can start to put on make-up from the third day. Cold compresses can be applied to reduce these formations. Local scaling of the skin may be seen about three days or a week. For this reason, the skin should be kept moist and clean.

The CO2 laser can not be applied to for those with active skin infections, for pregnant women, and for those who use isotretinoin within three months. Medications that prevent blood clotting, birth control pills, retinoid-containing medicines, and medicines causing light-sensitivity, should not be used during the implementation process. You should tell your doctor if you have had any application or operation to your face previously.
