Buttocks operations take 1 to 3 hours under general anaesthesia in operation rooms. Liposuction is applied to necessary areas in order to reshape the hips and buttocks and to lift the buttocks. The fat removed from the body can be placed on the upper part of buttocks to give an augmented look. If the amount of fat is insufficient, specially designed buttocks implants can be placed between the muscles, through a short incisions is made between the buttocks. If buttocks and legs have become loose and flat due to excessive weight loss, the classical buttock lift surgery can be performed in the area just above the buttocks, during which the incisions are concealed under the underwear. This operation gives the buttocks a fuller and rounder shape. Loose and excessive skins in the legs are removed, as well.
What to expect after surgery:
Patients are generally hospitalized for a day. They can wear corset to move more comfortably and feel less pain. Patients are advised to wear the corset day and night for the first three weeks. They can have a bath on the second day. Sports activities should be limited for the first six weeks. There might be slight bruising for the first three weeks, but this is temporary. If fat injection has been applied exclusively, up to 30% can dissolve which would cause some reduction in the fullness.
